An exciting and progressive career opportunity has opened up for an experienced Revit user/engineer to become the Group Technical Marketing Manager responsible for the a wide range of AEC Revit-based plug-ins and apps.

In this pivotal and highly technical role, working for a dynamic and rapidly growing worldwide organization, you will harness your creativity and experience as you produce visual and written technical-materials which highlight streamlined BIM workflows, improved design processes and efficient Revit functionality addressed with the range of AEC solutions developed by the group.

Creating Technical Content:

  • Record tutorial and demonstration videos
  • Produce high quality, product specific visual content
  • Define and document best-practice workflows and processes
  • Write subjective un-biased technical reviews and blog posts
  • Compile Top-10 style product benefits lists and illustrative examples
  • Create illustrated user tutorials
  • Develop demonstration project samples and walkthroughs guides

Sharing Technical Content via:

  • Raise your social media profile
  • Engage with peers via professional networks and technical forums
  • Deliver introductory and tutorial webinars
  • Attend and speak at industry events (global)

Ideal skills and experiences:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Revit on live projects, ideally applied in a structural capacity
  • Ability to create Revit families and set up Revit project templates
  • Fluent in English with exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Technical writing experience
  • Enthusiastic individual with a high level of initiative and creativity
  • Ability to work as a remote employee as part of a geographically dispersed team
  • Willingness to travel – 20% of time

GRAITEC is looking for a Software Application Engineer for Advance Steel to work in their Southampton, UK office.

The role

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide comprehensive technical software demonstrations of Advance Steel to potential clients, working for the sales team for pre-sales activities and some post-sale support
  • Update technical documentation to support ongoing releases of the software
  • Supply the sales team with technical information to support a range of sales conditions across a wide variety of structures
  • Produce working detailed steelwork models for benchmarking the software
  • Report to the Regional Manager and sales team, providing reports of site visits and sales-related information

Travel will be required throughout the UK for sales presentations. The office base will be in Southampton.


There is good potential for the right candidate to help with training of the software for new clients and to advance to some local macro development work with the software via the API, as well as to help test ongoing software releases.

  • You will have at least 4 years’ experience of structural steelwork detailing or have provided technical support for steel detailing software
  • Experience using Advance Steel would be an advantage; however, applications from experienced users of StruCad or Tekla are welcome as full product training will be provided
  • Good communication skills are a must as you will be working with the sales, development, support and technical teams within GRAITEC, as well as with many customers throughout the UK
  • Knowledge of BIM processes, interoperability and supporting software tools would be an advantage
