The challenge 

  • A model with stairs, ladders, hand railings and hoppers
  • During modeling, collisions were identified in the initial drawings. These however, were quickly overcome in Advance Steel
  • Another company was in charge of the installation, which needed up-to-date assembly drawings
  • The design included four complex hoppers for concrete discharge – not a problem for Advance Steel

 

The solution  

  • Use of automatic macros for stairs, ladders, hand railings etc
  • Collision areas of the model were automatically highlighted and could be
    re-designed quickly
  • Assembly drawings and lists of components are generated automatically
