Challenge

Structural modelling of an emblematic and innovative 30,000 m² project, a true temple of knowledge and education, composed of educational spaces, shops, services and digital spaces, open to the general public. This large-scale, multi-material project with a mixed metal/concrete framework is composed of blocks. One of the blocks is composed of cantilevers resting on footings on shafts

Solution

Advance Design was used for the verification of the project’s multi-material metal/concrete zones and for the seismic analysis of the different blocks. The Advance Design model was created by exporting the REVIT model and modelling wireframe elements, surface elements, static loads, and point and/or surface elastic supports
