Why use PowerPack for Inventor

Visibility Enhancement

Visibility enhancement tools allow you quickly choose what you want to display and what you don’t want to display. (Off Axis, Planes, points sketches, surfaces.)

Purge Tools

The Purge tool allows you to clean up parts and assembly files by getting rid of unwanted geometry and information.

Export File Properties

This command will export all Assembly, Part, Drawing or Presentation iProperty information to a txt file.

Title Block Swap

Title block swap will replace any existing title block on a drawing with another selected title block, which will maintain all iProperty information.

Inspection Dimension Table

Creates an inspection dimension table in any drawing that has inspection dimensions, columns include label, size and inspection rate.

Tolerance Table

Creates a tolerance table in any drawing that has tolerance dimensions, columns include size, shaft/hole, tolerance range and dimension range

Visibility Enhancement

Within the Powerpack for Inventor, the visibility tools will let the user enhance their control over what elements they choose to see within the workspace. The range of options available to control the elements are:
Switch off All
Switch off Axis
Switch off Planes
Switch off Points
Switch off Sketches
Switch off Surfaces

These tools allow for a cleaner presentation of the main modelled components when the user is working within the different aspects of the design process.

Purge Tools

The Graitec PowerPack for Inventor ‘Purge Tools’, allow the user to clean up parts and assembly files by getting rid of unwanted geometry and information, this tool comprises several feature tools as explained below:
Broken References
When removing a feature within the model, this can cause broken references within the model, this tool from the purge series allows the user to select and confirm the removal of these broken references, select prompts to confirm and feedback when completed.
Sick Relationships
During the modelling process constraints are used to build relationships between elements, these can become disassociated or as we term them Sick, so using the sick relationship tool allows the user to remove these constraints and clean up the model, again with selection prompts and feedback after deletion.
Unused Parameters
This tool within the purge tools will select all Parameters that are now redundant within the model, with a prompt to confirm their selection and removal, then show a feedback prompt when the process is completed.
Unused Work Features
Selecting the Unused work features will prompt for the selection of Planes, Axis or points that are not utilised within the model, the user receives a series of prompts to confirm selections and removal during the functionality of this useful clean-up tool.

Export File Properties

Using the Export File properties command allows the users to export all Assembly, Part, Drawing or Presentation iProperty information to a txt file. This document can then be shared with other users.

Title Block Swap

The PowerPack ‘Title Block Swap’ feature allows the user to take the created drawing part of the assembly file and change the page header part of the created document, by simply selecting a new Header.IDW and this is then changed within the current document workspace. This allows the user to change out header style of the document to suit client and user requirements

Inspection Dimension Table

The PowerPack feature is based upon the user setting those dimensions within the component as required for Inspection, then being able to transpose them into a tabular format for the inspection department. The inspection dimension table can be created within any drawing that has inspection dimensions, columns include label, size, and inspection rate. This allows the inspection department quick and easy access to the key dimensional required needed during the inspection of the component after manufacture.

Tolerance Table

The PowerPack feature is based upon the user setting those dimensions within the component to have certain tolerance allowances for manufacture, these dimensional settings are then transposed into a simple table format using the PowerPack tool, which generates a table, that can then be positioned and placed within the drawing workspace. This then allows the manufacturer and inspection to see the relative tolerances values during their processing.
