- – Although the building is located in a moderate seismic area, the original architecture drawings feature concurring concrete plane surfaces and curved walls, a gap in the central part and a transferring 2 nd floor, which is not suitable in such seismic conditions and couldn’t ensure stability.
- – The model was too heavy to proceed to structural analysis.
- – The only solution to the stabilization issue was to remove the control joints and to take the thermal effects into account in the structural analysis with Advance Design.
- – The static and dynamic analysis was made with Advance Design, and the Design Office could benefit from the GRAITEC team’s help in solving the analysis issues relating to the model’s size.
