For the UK market Cold rolled is essential for the creation of any Steel Framed solution, integrating with the primary hot rolled Steel frame. This proves a challenge to any Steelwork Detailer to include and model these elements to achieve a suitable drawing and documentation output.
In Autodesk Advance Steel there are tools that allow the users to insert these basic framing systems, then create generic type joints for purlins and cladding rails, along with Anti-sag variations.
Also, there are tools for Mezzanine floor inserts and associated connections, these are all found as standard within the Advance steel system, sometimes they lack content that is specific to the Cold Rolled supplier which can make the process a little harder.
That said, in order to users streamline processes, Graitec is providing local content to these for specific suppliers in the UK, working in partnership with them to create and add in the required data, which has then lead to the creation of a specific Cold Rolled Training course.
The aim of the course is to educate/guide the Users of the Required Tool Set and workflow within Advance Steel for these tools. The content is based around a specific supplier, but the approach is a generic one, based up a supplier’s data that is currently in the system.
