How To Load Additional Detail Components And Repeating Details In Revit

If you have placed some detail components and repeating details in your Autodesk Revit project, but you want more, there are more details provided with your installation – you just need to know where they are.

The first thing to do is to open or create the project that you want the extra details to be used in. Next, we need to open another project file which contains the extra content, and the file we want is GBRENU_Repeating_Details.rvt which is located here:

C:ProgramDataAutodeskRVT 2018LibrariesUKSystem Families (or the version of Revit you have)

Once this file is open, go back to the first file that you want to use the detail in, and go to Manage Tab > Transfer Project Standards. We then copy the Repeating Detail Types from the GBRENU file. When you use the Detail Components or Repeating Detail Components the additional content will be available in the Type Selector drop down.
