How To Paint The Top Of A Wall In Revit

In the 2019.1 version of Autodesk Revit there is an expansion for the ‘Paint’ tools functionality. Now we can apply and modify a material on the top face of a wall as well as its side, and the behaviour is the same as before, but now we can apply it to more faces.

As a reminder of the procedure, select the ‘Paint’ tool, then select the desired material, and select the face that the material will be applied too – click on ‘Done’ when this is finished.

If the overridden material needs adjustment, the ‘Align’ tool makes this an easy operation.

Also, if necessary, we can use the ‘Rotate’ command on the material.
