There is a fair chance that you have opened many different Revit project files, and that when you have opened them, especially if they are from other companies, the view that opens is different.
Some will open in a 3D view, whilst some will be in a plan. Some may even open with a project splash screen with project information. So, what we want to know is how we can set this for our projects.
First, go to the Manage Tab > Manage Project > Starting view
From the following dialog box, we get a drop down which lists all of the created views in the project, so we can choose from for example:
- Last viewed
- 3D views
- 2D plans
- 2D elevations
- Sheets
Select the view you want to show as the default, so that every time you open the project you will see that first – this could be a project splash page for example. This is just set up as a standard Revit sheet, so the fields can be filled in from project information, or be completed manually.
