Session Highlight

From Data to Design: The Evolving Backbone Driving Project Delivery at Grimshaw

At Grimshaw, each project servers as a dynamic proving ground for advancing design technology skills and capabilities. Rather than treating BIM as a set of static standards, we approach it as a living system, one that evolves through real-world application on live projects.
This talk will explore how our Design Technology team leverages a flexible set of design technology tools, platforms, applications, and digital workflows across the various RIBA stages to support both creative design and rigorous data delivery. We’ll share how we integrate them, alongside custom automation scripts and off-the-shelf applications, to streamline model management.

Through project-level insights, we’ll demonstrate how challenges become opportunities to identify gaps, trial emerging technologies, and strengthen our digital delivery. Ensuring that successful digital innovations are effectively scaled, adapted, and reintegrated into our broader digital project delivery.”

Getting Information Management Right: Real life is more than driving through traffic lights

Information Management is defined as “the management and execution of tasks relating to the definition of information requirements, information production, and delivery and checking.” While that may seem obvious, making sure that activities are carried out well, and effectively isn’t as easy to define. With all the focus seemingly on automation, report on report on report, and AI it’s easy to lose focus of the basics – that we’re here to work as a team and deliver our projects. Nigel Davies, Director with Information Management specialists Evolve Consultancy, will explain the route they have taken to a highly successful business. He will provide examples and highlight many of the common problems encountered on projects, and show that there are other, often simple, ways to solve them.
