Designed for: This course is designed for the new user of the current AutoCAD Electrical IEC/JIC.
Prerequisites: It is recommended that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft supporting systems. Additionally, it is assumed that the student has experience working with AutoCAD.
Objectives: The primary objective of this courseware is to teach the student the basic commands necessary for producing professional 2D Schematic & panel drawings. Upon completion of the course, the student will:
- Become familiar with the AutoCAD Electrical user interface
- Understand the fundamental concepts and features of AutoCAD Electrical
- Present drawings in a detailed and visually impressive manner
- Develop a level of comfort and confidence with AutoCAD Electrical through hands-on experience
Course Description:
This course is designed for the new AutoCAD® Electrical user who requires comprehensive training in AutoCAD Electrical. The student will learn how to use the electrical drawing creation tools, creating schematics drawings, panel layouts, PLC-I/O circuits and automated commands for symbol insertion. Addition, students are introduced to methods of customising AutoCAD Electrical symbols, circuits, and databases. Other topics covered include title block linking, reporting tools, templates, and project files.
