Public concerned: Structural and civil engineers or students who want to learn how to analyze and design structures in a 3D modelling environment.
Prerequisites: This course assumes no prior knowledge of Graitec Advance Design, but it is important to have a basic understanding of structural engineering. Experience with 3d modelling or finite elements is an advantage but not essential.
Objectives: The primary objective of this course is to teach the essentials of Advance Design. It covers the tools required for the modelling, analysis and design of 3D structures under the relevant North American codes.
After this training, participants will be able to:
Model a complex 3D structure and apply loads
Use the different types of analysis offered in Advance Design, including seismic and non-linear.
Design steel, concrete and wood structural elements
Process results and generate reports efficiently
Import, export, and synchronize BIM files.
