Advance Steel Architectural Metalwork
Duration: 1 day
Designed for: Advance Steel users looking to efficiently detail architectural metalwork components. Steel detailers who regularly create stairs or railings.
Prerequisites: General knowledge of steel structures and basic computer skills. General familiarity with Advance Steel and preferably completed an Essentials Course with Graitec.
Objectives:
- Learn the basic layout or construction points required for Stair modelling
- Become familiar with the Stair and Handrailing macros.
- Be able to add extra features and joints to the main macro created objects.
- Discover an efficient workflow for modelling winder steps
- Use an effective workflow for glass infill panels in railing or similar
- Manually create free-standing glass railing
- Use the Spiral stair macro
- Manually add an inner railing to the spiral stair
After this training, participants will:
Come out of this training with a solid, practical command of stair and railing modelling in Advance Steel. They’ll be able to construct stairs from the ground up, use key macros with confidence, and enhance those macro‑generated objects with custom features and joints. They’ll know how to model winder steps efficiently, create glass infill panels and free‑standing glass railings, and work effectively with the spiral stair macro, including adding an inner railing manually.
